"Grand oaks and delicate prairie flowers grace the rugged, rolling landscape of this park. Trails traverse remnant and restored prairies, wind down deep ravines and rise up to the grassy ridgetops and bluffs overlooking the scenic St. Croix River. The trails are perfect for hikers, horseback riders and cross-country skiers. The park offers visitors a swimming beach, backpack campsites and a visitor center with interpretive displays." -from the park's website

There are 24 rustic sites that are about a mile hike from the parking lot. There are also two group campsites that can hold about 40 people each.
If you do plan on camping, please be aware that Minnesota passed a law against "imported" firewood. Basically, if you plan on building a campfire, you must buy wood in Minnesota and not bring it from out of state. There's more information about it on the park website.

The firewood thing is really important. I think most everyone knows about the emerald ash borer, for which there is no defense. Those of you from Michigan and Indiana definitely know what I'm talking about. It's only a matter of time, really, but it will be devastating, since ash were widely planted after the Dutch Elm disease epidemic.
